Every now and then you receive news that knocks you for six, The BAPCO email notification of Ian's passing is certainly one of those occasions. I was sat at my desk, stunned when I read it. I have known Ian through BAPCO for about 20 years and have worked on many projects and been at many events with him during this time. His sudden death will leave a big hole in the public safety communications arena, an area where he has made such an impact. RIP Ian and regards to your family. Simon MOASE
