I had the great pleasure of knowing Ian for over 25 years, he was always such a cheerful and happy person, excellent to work with and brilliant to work for. He was a shining example of what it is to be a true gentleman and the epitome of the caring professional in whatever he undertook, and what he did undertake he excelled in with humility and dignity but always a slightly cheeky undercurrent that lightened even the most serious situation. Its a total tragedy to lose such a affable, talented and gifted person so early, his absence will leave huge gaps in so many different areas, with so many people. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to all Ian's family and to all those closest to him who are feeling the pain and shock of his passing. Stuart Mack
